Rather Returns To 60 Min. Sunday

“For the first time since Dan Rather stepped down as anchor of CBS Evening News last spring, a report he prepared” will air on 60 Minutes this Sunday night, CBS has confirmed.

This morning the NYT said the piece was under consideration. CBS calls the segment “Mad Money Man:” “Dan Rather profiles Jim Cramer, a retired Wall Street millionaire who now shouts, literally, about stocks on his cable TV show. Joel Bernstein is the producer.”

> From the NYT: “Since returning in March to the ranks of CBS reporters, Mr. Rather, 74, has traveled extensively, including trips to China (two within three weeks), Beirut and North Korea, all for 60 Minutes segments that he and his producers are preparing, according to his spokeswoman, Kim Akhtar.”
