Ratings Milestone For NBC Nightly News

NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams has been the number one evening newscast for 52 consecutive weeks, the network announced today. “This represents the first time that the NBC broadcast has won 52 weeks in a row since May 1, 2000 — April 30, 2001,” the press release says.

Nightly News was also #1 for the week of July 27 to July 1, among total viewers and the 25-54 demographic.

> Also: CBSers are noticing Friday night’s ratings, when the CBS Evening News tied NBC. Both nets had a 4.7/11 in the national ratings. (ABC won the night with a 4.9/11.)
