Report: CBS, Wash. Post Online Alliance

The Associated Press is reporting that when it comes to covering the 2008 Presidential campaign, CBS News and The Washington Post will share video and news content on their respective websites, CBSNews.com and WashingtonPost.com. According to the AP, a formal announcement is expected tomorrow, with the synergy beginning on Tuesday as well.

The report quotes a Post spokeswoman as confirming that the agreement will only involve the online divisions of the two partners.

The alliance comes on the heels of a July announcement that NBC News and The New York Times are collaborating on presidential campaign coverage.
