Sam Says: Don’t Split Charlie & Diane Up!

“Now that ABC has said Diane Sawyer isn’t a candidate to replace Peter Jennings as anchor of World News Tonight, how about Charles Gibson? Sam Donaldson doesn’t think so. Donaldson tells AP Radio News that Gibson is “the perfect guy for Diane” on “Good Morning America” and “the morning show’s where the cash is.” So he doesn’t think the network would want to break them up. Donaldson says Sawyer probably wouldn’t want to see Gibson go, either, and “she’s quite a powerful person.”"
