Savannah Guthrie Joins NBC in DC

When NBC’s longtime DC correspondent Chip Reid departed for CBS News, an NBC insider told me they were very excited about their upcoming DC hire. Today we know who it is. NBC announced that Savannah Guthrie has been named Washington-based correspondent.

Guthrie joins NBC from CourtTV where she was the legal affairs correspondent. But beyond the courts, Guthrie also covered Congress. Her exact DC beat hasn’t been determined.
