Shades of Green

green_4-21.jpgTo mark this year’s Green Week (apparently replacing Earth Day), CNBC’s Jim Cramer begins picking his “green stocks” tonight on Mad Money at 6pmET. Last year’s “green portfolio” made some major green — eight picks showed a combined 71% return from last year. Cramer’s best green pick, First Solar, showed gains of 358%.

Meanwhile, on sister station MSNBC, the peacock’s feathers are all green as part of the Green is Universal campaign this week, as reflected in many stories and lower thirds on the network.

CNN gets green this week as well, airing one hour of the award-winning documentary Planet in Peril, starting tonight at 11pmET, and continuing Wednesday-Friday.
