SOTU Ratings: Comparing ’09 to ’10

As we noted yesterday, Fox News drew the most viewers for the 2010 State of the Union address. We went back and put together a chart to show you how the cable news audience looked for this State of the Union compared to Obama’s address to a joint session of Congress in February of 2009. The chart shows the total viewers for the address itself and the total viewers for 9-11pmET, which would include the address, the GOP response, and some initial analysis. Of course, most viewers — around 30 million — watched the address on the broadcast networks.
