BET News anchor T.J. Holmes, who is launching a late night news-comedy hybrid for the channel later this year, live-tweeted a traffic stop. Holmes, who used to be an anchor at CNN, tweeted the following this morning:

He followed up with a number of tweets, noting that he was not given a plausible reason for why he was pulled over:

Officer’s reason for pulling me over: “wanted to make sure you have insurance on the car.” I kid you not.
