Yahoo! Expands Content Deal With ABC News, CNBC At ‘NewFront’

Last night Yahoo! held its “NewFront” event at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square, and the digital media company announced expanded content deals with its two big TV news partners, ABC News and CNBC.

ABC, of course, has a major deal with the company, particularly with “Good Morning America,” which has a digital presence powered by Yahoo!

“One of the big secrets to the success of Good Morning America is goodmorningamerica.com, powered by Yahoo!” said ABC News president Ben Sherwood on stage at the event.

Now, ABC is bringing what Sherwood called the “secret sauce” from its Yahoo! agreement to “ABC World News” and “Nightline.”

Look who’s in the MSNBC newsroom… at 1:30am

No joke. Behind MSNBC anchor Veronica De La Cruz, that’s stand-up comic Al Madrigal, and comedian/actors Zach Galifianakis and Nick Kroll. They were all in Studio 8H where they caught Ed Helms hosting Saturday Night Live. After the show they made their way down to the third floor and the MSNBC newsroom. De La Cruz made no mention of the trio behind her in the update that aired at 1:30amET. But she Tweeted this picture early this morning.

Ed Helms Does a Great Tom Brokaw Impression on ‘The View’

Joy Behar nudged Ed Helms to do his impression of Tom Brokaw on Tuesday’s “The View.” Helms said as Brokaw: “Tony Blair and I are off to the Hamptons for a wine tasting. I’m going water-skiing with the Dalai Lama.”

Then “The Office” funny man said as Keith Olbermann‘s new boss Al Gore, “If I were elected President, I would make absolutely certain that global warming came to an end.”
