Well, they got the “who”, “what”, “when” and “why” correct. But it’s always that pesky “where.”

The Obama and (what’s left of the) Clinton campaigns were able to dodge the press corps who’d been covering the candidates so closely for the last year or more. MSNBC was first to report the news of the secret meeting at 9:09pmET. CNN followed by 20 minutes, while FNC did not report the news until 9:59pmET, the last minute of Hannity & Colmes. However, FNC was first to confirm the location of the meeting (Sen. Dianne Feinstein‘s house) at 10:23pmET. Major Garrett reported the location based on information from his sources. Both MSNBC and CNN maintained for most of the night that the meeting was taking place at Sen. Clinton’s DC home.
