> As the markets enjoyed big gains yesterday on Wall Street, Fast Money saw some big ratings. The 5pmET CNBC program tallied 201,000 viewers in the A25-54 demo, beating every other cable news network at that time (FNC was second with 181,000).

> The news of Eliot Spitzer‘s prostitution scandal broke from the New York Times, but it was the New York Post that first reported this morning about Spitzer’s imminent resignation. Connell McShane reported the news first on FBN at 8:58amET, ahead of all other cablers.
