Zucker on FBN: “It’s Not Even, Frankly, in the Same Universe With Us”

Newsblues writes about the “wide-ranging” interview between Jeff Zucker and Charlie Rose earlier this week, and focuses on a shot taken by the NBC president and CEO.

On a side note, Newsblues uses the term “pusillanimous” to describe Zucker, which means its another appearance of the word after this morning’s Lesley Stahl story.

Zucker is asked about the competition now between Fox Business Network and CNBC, and brushes off the new network. “It focused us and made us better,” he said. “Really, at this point, Fox Business Network is not in any way a threat to CNBC. It’s not even, frankly, in the same universe with us.”

> Update: An FBN spokesperson tells TVNewser, “In Jeff’s universe where his entire career has been based on failing upwards, CNBC’s performance would be considered a success.”
