Key Responsibilities
Analyze customer Request for Quotes (RFQs) and technical specifications.
Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs for custom manufacturing projects.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
Prepare and submit detailed, professional, and timely quotes to customers.
Maintain accurate records of all quotes, pricing data, and customer communications.
Utilize ERP/MRP systems and quoting software for cost estimation and proposal generation.
Follow up on submitted quotes and address customer inquiries or revisions promptly.
Recommended Qualifications
2-5 years of experience in a quoting, estimating, or sales support role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills for cost calculation, margin analysis, and pricing.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.
Bonus Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or customer relationship management (CRM) software (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Epicor).
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, or engineering drawings.
Prior experience in a customer service or sales support role.
