What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Assist customers with U-Haul products and services inside and outside the center
Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory
Clean and inspect U-Haul equipment, including checking fluid levels
Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returns
Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University
What is Required (Qualifications):
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
Willingness to use safety precautions around moving parts and chemicals
Ability to remain stationary for long periods and move around indoors and outdoors
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Previous experience in customer service or a related field
Familiarity with rental equipment and services
Ability to obtain certifications for filling propane and driving a forklift
Strong communication skills and ability to educate customers
Experience using technology for inventory management
