Job Summary
Provides advanced interior design services supporting VA healthcare construction, renovation, and space optimization projects. Ensures all designs meet clinical functionality, patient safety, and federal compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop
complete interior design packages
(plans, specs, finish schedules)
Interpret
construction drawings and coordinate with A/E teams
Ensure compliance with
VA design guides, ADA, NFPA, and life safety codes
Conduct
site surveys, field verification, and user coordination meetings
Specify
furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E)
aligned with clinical use
Support
project execution, submittals, and construction phases
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Interior Design or related field
5+ years experience (healthcare or federal preferred)
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and design documentation
