Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you’ll work independently to showcase organizational and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. You may also work with other products from other companies within the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Hourly rate: $14.00 to $16.00 depending on skills and experience.

Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.

Part‑time employees receive annual pay increases.

Variable schedule during the work week.

Average weekly hours: 10–15 hours.

Availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.

Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

Day‑to‑day engagement:

Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and respond to surveys regarding merchandising activities. Professionally and courteously interact with store employees, management, and customers. Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.

Holiday support:

Work additional days and extended hours for holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May be required to work on the actual holiday (including weekends).

Department resets:

Participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Receive notification two weeks in advance; assignments may include evenings or weekends.

Team collaboration:

Support other merchandisers in the network as needed.

Physical Requirements Physically demanding job requiring high energy and urgency. Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds during the workday, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Ability to kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and step ladders.

Basic Qualifications

At least 18 years old.

Read, write, and understand English.

Lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.

Operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents.

Have access to Wi‑Fi and internet.

Consistent transportation to travel between assigned stores.
