Civil Design Group Manager – Columbus, OH
Key Responsibilities
Lead multiple design teams in daily operations.
Develop staffing needs, distribute work to teams to level workload.
Work with team leaders/project managers to monitor overall health of projects (scope, schedule, budget, etc.).
Monitor group workload, utilization, billable hours.
Work with Civil Service Line leaders to identify additional staffing needs (i.e., training, personnel).
Mentor staff while executing office and company growth plan.
Proposal/contract preparation and project management.
Successfully manage and deliver work tasks on time.
Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of professional services (Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, Landscape Architecture, Funding Strategies/Grant Writing, and Construction Administration).
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Record of managing multiple civil design engineers or teams, projects and disciplines.
Proven management process/style.
Willingness to mentor and teach younger staff.
Private development experience.
