Position Overview: PharmaEssentia is seeking an experienced Hematology Account Manager (HAM) with a strong patient focus to promote BESREMi®. Reporting to the Regional Business Director, the Overlay Hematology Account Manager will span two base territories, maximizing sales through promotion to approved customers and distribution channels. Responsibilities include managing a personal target list and territory opportunities, working with base HAMs to execute strategic territory plans across stakeholders involved in patient care, and educating customers about BESREMi® across hematology/oncology settings. Customers include hematologists/oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy and therapeutics groups, teaching institutions, hospitals and formulary committees.
The candidate must reside in the Denver, CO area.
Key Responsibilities Customer Focus: Communicate the clinical profile of BESREMi®, describe pivotal trial data, and address clinical and non-clinical barriers for key customers involved in hematology/oncology patient care.
Partnering with cross-functional commercial teams to provide comprehensive solutions for customers.
Contribute to a culture of continuous learning by sharing knowledge across teams, investing in personal skill development, and staying current with clinical and business dynamics.
Results Focus Build and apply clinical and business expertise to develop territory plans addressing customer needs related to BESREMi®.
Develop account and prescriber action plans with timelines, using analytics to track progress toward goals.
Meet and exceed business objectives through planning, collaboration, and use of tools for execution of strategic direction.
Entrepreneurial Expertise Develop subject matter expertise on disease state, clinical efficacy, product details, competitive intelligence, market dynamics, and local market access.
Demonstrate creative problem solving and a proactive attitude essential for startup environments.
Grow knowledge and capabilities, experiment with approaches to challenges, and raise performance standards.
Business Acumen Use data and judgment to evaluate plans and adapt to evolving business dynamics.
Utilize CRM to assess and track customer status and progress sales plans.
Complete sales administrative requirements (T&E, compliance SOPs, Sunshine reporting, etc.).
Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree required.
5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotechnology with experience in hematology, solid tumor, or rare disease space.
Proven hematology/oncology sales experience in academic and community settings.
Existing relationships with key customers (KOLs, key accounts) valued.
Experience in new product launches is required.
Experience with other commercial functions (marketing, market access, sales ops, training, analytics, business development) preferred.
Experience in a startup environment and specialty pharmacy knowledge preferred.
Strong track record of performance and patient impact, with ability to navigate the full sales cycle including access and reimbursement.
Creative thinking, strong communication, leadership presence, adaptability, and high ethical standards.
Sales hunter mentality with ability to develop new leads; strong account and business acumen; ability to cover large geographies autonomously.
The expected base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000. Salary offers consider skills, training, experience, education, location, and market factors. In addition to base salary, a competitive benefits package and incentives are available.
