Position Overview: PharmaEssentia is seeking an experienced Hematology Account Manager (HAM) with a strong patient focus and a passion for driving results for its commercial product, BESREMi®. Reporting to the Regional Business Director, the Overlay Hematology Account Manager is a newly created role spanning two base territories. The position aims to maximize sales through promotion to approved, targeted customers and distribution channels. Responsibilities include managing both geographic responsibilities and a personal target list, and coordinating with base HAMs to educate customers about BESREMi® along the treatment adoption process. Customers include hematologists/oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy and therapeutics groups, teaching institutions, hospitals and formulary committees.
The hired candidate must reside in the Kansas, MO or Oklahoma City, OK area, with a strong preference for Wichita, KS.
Key Responsibilities Communicate the clinical profile of BESREMi®, describe pivotal trial data and address clinical and non-clinical barriers to key customers involved in hematology/oncology patient care
Partner with cross-functional commercial teams (market access and medical) to provide comprehensive solutions for customers
Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and patient focus by sharing knowledge, investing in personal skill development, and staying abreast of changing clinical and business dynamics
Results Focus Build, maintain and apply clinical and business expertise within the hematology/oncology marketplace to develop territory business plans addressing customer needs related to BESREMi®
Develop account/prescriber action plans with clear milestones and use analytics to understand trends and track progress against goals
Meet and exceed business objectives through planning, collaboration with partners and effective use of tools for execution
Entrepreneurial Expertise Become a true subject matter expert on disease state knowledge, clinical acumen, product expertise, competitive intelligence, market dynamics and customer needs across segments

Complete sales administrative requirements (travel & expense, compliance SOPs, Sunshine reporting, etc.)
Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries including hematology, solid tumor, or rare disease space
Consistent hematology/oncology sales experience in academic and community-based institutions
Existing relationships with key customers (e.g., KOLs, key accounts) are valued
Experience in new product launches is required
Experience with other commercial functions is preferred
Start-up environment experience preferred; specialty pharmacy knowledge is preferred
Track record of performance and passion for patients
Ability to navigate the full sales cycle, overcome access and reimbursement barriers, and manage distribution
Creative problem solving, strong leadership presence, and excellent communication skills
Adaptability to change and maintaining a big-picture view in launches
Ethical standards with patient at the forefront
Strong critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills
Sales hunter mentality with ability to develop new leads and drive for results
Advanced business acumen and granular account management skills
Proven success covering large geographical territories autonomously
The expected base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000. Salary offers consider skills, training, experience, education, location, market and organizational factors. Eligible for short-term and long-term incentives in addition to base salary and benefits.
