Position Overview: PharmaEssentia is seeking an experienced Hematology Account Manager (HAM) with a strong patient focus and a passion for driving results for its commercial product, BESREMi®. Reporting to the Regional Business Director, the Overlay Hematology Account Manager will span two base territories. The role aims to maximize sales by promoting PharmaEssentia products to approved, targeted customers and distribution channels, covering both territories with responsibilities including targets from a personal list and those based on geographic opportunities. Working with base HAMs, you will develop and execute strategic territory plans across stakeholders in patient care to educate customers about BESREMi® and address needs in the treatment adoption process. Customers include hematologists/oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy and therapeutics groups, teaching institutions, hospitals and formulary committees.
The hired candidate must reside in the Brooklyn, NY or Queens, NY with a strong preference for Queens.

Key Responsibilities Customer Focus
Communicate the clinical profile of BESREMi®, describe pivotal trial data and address barriers in a clear and impactful manner to key customers involved in hematology oncology patient care
Partner with cross-functional commercial teams (e.g., market access, medical) to provide comprehensive solutions for customers
Contribute to continuous learning by sharing knowledge, investing in personal skill development, and staying current with clinical and business dynamics
Results Focus
Build and apply clinical and business expertise to develop territory plans addressing customer needs related to BESREMi®
Develop account/prescriber action plans with clear timelines and use analytics to track progress
Meet and exceed business objectives through planning, collaboration, and effective execution
Entrepreneurial Expertise
Become a subject matter expert on disease state knowledge, clinical acumen, product expertise, competitive intelligence, market dynamics, customer needs, and local market access
Demonstrate creative problem solving and a startup mindset

Business Acumen
Use data and sound judgment to adjust plans in response to evolving landscape
Utilize CRM to manage customer status and sales progress
Complete sales administrative requirements (T&E, SOPs, Sunshine reporting, etc.)

Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries, including hematology, solid tumor, or rare disease spaces
Consistent hematology/oncology sales experience in academic and community settings
Existing relationships with key customers (e.g., KOLs, key account leadership) valued
Experience with new product launches required
Experience in other commercial functions (e.g., marketing, market access, sales operations, analytics, etc.) preferred
Startup environment experience preferred
Specialty pharmacy knowledge preferred
Strong performance history and passion for patient impact
Ability to manage all facets of the sales cycle, including patient identification, clinical conviction, access/reimbursement barriers, and distribution
Creative thinking and solution-seeking to support business needs
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication with strong leadership presence
Adaptability to changes with a big-picture view during launches
Commitment to high ethical standards and patient focus
Strong critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills
Hunter mentality with ability to develop new leads and drive results
Advanced business and granular account management skills
Successful experience covering large geographical territories autonomously

Compensation and Benefits The expected base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000. Salary offers are based on skills, experience, education, location, and other factors. In addition to base salary, successful candidates are eligible for short-term and long-term incentives, with a competitive benefits package.
