We are partnering with a well-established Legal Firm in Providence, to identify a detail-oriented and highly skilled

Medical Malpractice Paralegal

to support attorneys in medical malpractice and personal injury matters. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in litigation support, particularly in drafting and managing discovery, requesting and analyzing medical records, and preparing legal documentation. This role requires a sharp, organized professional who can manage complex case files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
$70,000-$75,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities of the Medical Malpractice Paralegal

Draft, review, and manage interrogatories, motions, and discovery requests/responses

Prepare and process medical records requests, including tracking, follow-ups, and organization of records

Analyze and summarize medical records and billing documentation for case development

Assist attorneys in case preparation for litigation, including compiling exhibits and evidence

Manage discovery timelines, ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements

Coordinate with healthcare providers, experts, and third parties to obtain necessary documentation

Maintain and organize case files, pleadings, and legal documents

Support trial preparation, including document organization and witness coordination

Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

Qualifications of the Medical Malpractice Paralegal

Strong experience as a paralegal in medical malpractice or personal injury litigation

Demonstrated expertise in:

Requesting and managing medical records

Drafting interrogatories, motions, and discovery documents

Solid understanding of litigation procedures and deadlines

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously

Familiarity with medical terminology and billing records

Experience with case management systems and legal software
