Customer Service Representative
As the Customer Service Representative you’ll work to help patients check into the hospital. It’s fast‑paced on occasion and you’ll be the person they rely on to answer questions during registration. You’ll build trust in these interactions by collecting information accurately and quickly, and by listening with compassion to address their fears, concerns, and questions.
Responsibilities
Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment, collecting details that must be entered correctly between physician and nurse check‑ins. Work across multiple programs and type as quickly as patients can talk, and handle clinicians interrupting the registration process for emergent care.
Help patients who may be very ill or worried, listen carefully to ease their anxiety, ask follow‑up questions and build rapport in real time.
Work quickly in a fast‑paced environment, on your feet assisting patients complete registration, and handle a wide variation in health plans and coverage during intake.
Collaborate with a supportive team and pursue professional growth within the healthcare industry.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
Excellent customer service experience.
Current vaccination status, passing a drug test, and background check prior to hire.
For this US‑based position, the base pay range is $14.00–$18.99 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
