Why does the job exist?
This position provides highly professional administrative support to the Adult Psychiatric Division (APD) Director and to the Chief of Psychiatry.
How does it get done?
This position provides administrative support, including KRONOS (timekeeping) to the APD Psychology Supervisor, Social Work Supervisor, psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers. It coordinates transportation for APD patients who are being discharged and have no other means of returning to their homes, as well as medical or legal appointments out of town. It also serves as back‑up for the Legal Services Secretary.

Minimum Qualification
No prior experience or training required.
Employment Requirements
Must possess a valid Driver’s License
Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required.
Bargaining Unit Position
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and all terms/conditions of that agreement apply and must be adhered to.
