Department Information
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is a member of the boards, departments, and offices (BDO) within the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA). This position is located at our Regional office in Chatsworth, CA.

Job Responsibilities

Answer, screen, and redirect main line calls for the Chatsworth Regional Office.

Greet visitors, determine the purpose of their visit, and direct them to the appropriate staff or conference room.

Maintain sign‑in/out sheets and issue visitor badges for emergency purposes.

Utilize the DTSC email system to reserve, confirm, and maintain master schedules for all conference rooms.

Provide temporary access badges to staff and vendors and maintain a list of badges that have not been returned.

Maintain security of the badges, checks, and keys, ensuring they are secured and locked nightly in the safe.

Qualifications

Strong front‑desk and customer‑service skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Outlook scheduling.

Mailroom experience.

Experience in reprographics operations.

Organizational skills and cross‑team collaboration.

1 year of clerical experience is desired.

Special Requirements

Position requires a valid California Driver’s License (CDL). Provide CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements or restrictions.

Additional Requirements

Submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) no more than 2 pages, 12‑point Arial, single‑spaced, one‑inch margins.
