Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Muncy Valley, PA. As a Sous Chef, you will assist in food preparation and culinary operations, oversee kitchen staff, and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. Responsibilities include creating meal plans, managing inventory, mentoring kitchen team members, and ensuring timely service of high-quality dishes. The role also involves collaborating with the Executive Chef to maintain consistency in menus and ensure the satisfaction of members and guests.
Qualifications
Proficiency in food preparation, menu development, and culinary techniques
Experience in kitchen operations, including managing inventory and overseeing staff
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills to manage and mentor the kitchen team effectively
Problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen setting
Previous experience in a fine dining or country club environment is a plus
