Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, MD. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Key responsibilities include menu planning, inventory management, supporting special events, delivering exceptional cuisine, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
Proficiency in food preparation techniques, culinary creativity, and the ability to execute diverse menus
Experience in kitchen management, staff supervision, and maintaining a cohesive team environment
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and compliance with health regulations
Exceptional organizational skills with experience in inventory and cost control management
Previous experience in fine dining or country club settings is highly desirable
Culinary certification or degree preferred, and a ServSafe certification is a plus
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with various teams and interact with members
