Position: Hospital Clinical Liaison
Primary responsibility is to generate and manage leads in referring hospitals, ensuring expectations for quality mix, occupancy rates, conversion ratios, and admission growth.
Job Functions
Meets with potential customers prior to admission to assist in “closing” the sale and obtaining personal information that can be used by the facility to enhance the experience
Makes sales calls to hospital social workers, case managers, physicians, and other individuals capable of directing referrals
Demonstrates growth in hospital referrals as shown by an increase in overall occupancy and quality mix, and attains goals for conversion rates
Coordinates work with other departments to ensure all patient expectations are met
Develops referrals from referral hospital discharge planning departments, emergency and therapy departments, physicians, case managers, insurance companies and other referral sources
Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge, Experience)
Must be an RN or LPN in Pennsylvania
Bachelor’s degree preferred; substantial experience in a comparable position may be considered in lieu of a degree
At least two years of sales/marketing experience in healthcare services, products, or pharmaceuticals
Physical Demands
Primary activities involve driving, walking, talking; includes sitting, standing, and constant movement throughout the day
Travel: 90% of time traveling to/from and within assigned hospitals and referral sources
Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
Strong financial and management skills
Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel
Positive, effective communication with hospital personnel, residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other facility staff
Special interest in, and positive attitude about, working with short‑ and long‑term care residents and the elderly
Effective communication with a diverse range of audiences and settings
Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
Meets all health requirements as required by law
Basic computer knowledge with aptitude for learning company applications (Microsoft Office, Excel, E‑mail, Outlook, Internet Explorer)
