Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
Administer a variety of respiratory and cardiology modalities, simple and complex.
Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, and maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluates equipment for proper and safe function; reports malfunctions to director.
Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients.
Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.
Physical Demands
Stand and walk for long periods of time; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
Easily lift up to 20 pounds; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.
Vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience.
BLS required; ACLS required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
Certifications: RRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS.
Compensation
Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 32 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
