Salary Range:
$81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
Develop and test firmware for new manufacturing equipment and processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve embedded system issues in production machinery.
Design and implement control algorithms for robotic and automated manufacturing systems.
Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate embedded systems into manufacturing lines.
Perform root cause analysis on failures of embedded systems in a manufacturing environment.
Optimize existing embedded systems for improved performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in production.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in C/C++ for real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal programming.
Hands-on experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM, PIC) and peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, ADC/DAC).
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
Experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers).
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) beyond basic microcontroller-level implementations.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
Demonstrated ability to debug complex hardware/software interactions using tools like logic analyzers or oscilloscopes.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, understanding production lifecycles and quality control.
