Salary Range:
$84,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement embedded software for manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems in production environments.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with new and existing devices.
Develop and maintain firmware for industrial control systems.
Optimize embedded code for real-time performance and resource utilization.
Participate in the full product lifecycle, from concept to deployment and support.
Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and implement corrective actions.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in embedded software development for real-time operating systems (RTOS) in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and microprocessors.
Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters) and in-circuit debuggers/emulators.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, CAN, Profibus).
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus TCP).
Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849).
Proficiency in real-time operating systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for embedded systems.
