Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Charlotte, MI
Salary Range:
$44,000 - $64,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Charlotte that are seeking Shipping & Receiving Clerks. Key Responsibilities
Accurately receive, inspect, and log incoming raw materials and components, verifying against purchase orders.
Prepare and package finished goods for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation for various carriers.
Load and unload trucks safely using appropriate equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain organized inventory of received materials and finished goods in designated warehouse locations.
Process shipping and receiving paperwork, including bills of lading, packing slips, and internal transfer documents.
Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure timely material flow and shipment readiness.
Perform regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory to maintain accurate stock records.
Recommended Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years experience in shipping/receiving within a manufacturing environment
Proficient in using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
Strong computer skills, including experience with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physically demanding tasks
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Bonus Qualifications
Experience operating an ERP system for inventory management
Certification in forklift operation or other material handling equipment
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen)
Proficiency in using barcode scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
