About the Opportunity – Project Accountant
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with strong accounts receivable skills and job cost accounting experience preferably within the construction industry. The Project Accountant will play a key role in supporting project teams, maintaining accurate financial records, and collaborating across departments in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities – Project Accountant

• Provide accounting support to multiple construction project teams


• Post and apply cash receipts against project pay applications


• Review invoices, purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders for accuracy and compliance


• Assist with job cost accounting, budget setup, and cost adjustments


• Process employee credit card transactions and expense reports


• Prepare journal entries, internal invoices, and monthly allocations


• Support month‑end close activities and assist with financial forecasting


• Complete credit applications and assist with vendor setup and prequalification


• Collaborate with vendors, project managers, superintendents, and internal stakeholders

Qualifications – Project Accountant

• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience


• Associate or Bachelors in Accounting or Finance


• Strong Accounts Receivable experience required


• Job cost accounting experience required


• Construction industry experience strongly preferred


• Experience reviewing invoices, expenses, and project‑related financial documentation


• Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across teams


• Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in an onsite office environment
