Lead global Accounts Payable operations, ensuring efficient invoice processing, compliance, and attorney/staff support. Manage team performance, optimize workflows, and enhance automation.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Accounts Payable Manager:
- Oversee full-cycle AP, including vendor management, expense reimbursements, credit card transactions, and general ledger postings.
- Supervise and mentor the AP team, fostering efficiency and accuracy.
- Drive process improvements, leveraging automation and technology.
- Manage credit card processing, vendor reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Establish KPIs to enhance performance and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including 1099 preparation and sales/use tax reporting.
- Lead AP initiatives in system implementations and process improvements.
Qualifications of the Assistant Accounts Payable Manager:
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Expertise in accounting principles, AP software, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage high-volume workflows and communicate effectively.
- Bachelor’s in Business, Accounting, or Finance (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of AP experience in a corporate or professional services setting, including team management.
