Position Summary
Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Northern Region Highways and Aviation Denali District is looking for a non‑permanent Equipment Operator, Sub‑Journey. The position is located in Cantwell, AK. The role supports daily operations with groundskeeping and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
Operate pickup trucks, small tractors, lawnmowers, and snow blowers to maintain roadways, walkways, and surrounding areas.
Perform routine maintenance using hand and power tools.
Assist with general labor such as brush cutting, flagging, raking, and shoveling.
Help maintain equipment and supplies and support various departments.
Qualifications
Alaska resident (subject to eligibility criteria).
Valid Alaska Driver’s License.
Current Flagger Certification Card.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied weather conditions.
Demonstrated judgment, decision‑making, and strong ethical conduct.
