Rapides Parish School District, Carter C. Raymond Junior High (PK-8), Lecompte, Louisiana
Qualifications
A valid Type A, Type B, or Level 3 Louisiana Teaching Certificate with a Master’s degree or higher or completion of a Practitioner/Residency Leader Program.
Applicant must qualify for endorsement as Principal, Provisional Principal, Elementary Principal, or Educational Leader.
Must have five (5) years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience during the preceding five-year period.
Performance Responsibilities
Assist in the administration and/or supervision of the school.
Serve as principal in his/her absence.
Accept and perform other duties assigned by the Principal.
Assist in teaching duties as assigned by the Principal when necessary.
Establish and execute a professional growth and self‑evaluation plan.
Carry out the Performance Expectations and Indicators for Educational Leaders as outlined in Bulletin 130.
Work effectively with school personnel and staff.
Demonstrate self‑direction.
Submit accurate records and reports promptly.
Exhibit professional ethics.
Foster open communication and positive relationships with school personnel, staff, and community.
Follow State, School Board, and School policies.
Perform any other duties assigned by the school Principal within the scope of teaching and learning during contracted hours.

Conduct school/class walk‑throughs.
Oversee class scheduling.
Participate in staffing processes.
Supervise teachers and other staff.
Assist in employee evaluations and professional learning plans.
Maintain campus cleanliness through oversight of janitorial staff.
Attend relevant meetings including faculty, staff, department, central office, and principal meetings.
Develop and enforce school policies for students and employees.
Attend training sessions, job fairs, IEP meetings, and other professional development events.
Represent the school at community functions and athletic or professional association events.
Manage discipline matters, including student and employee proceedings.
Support extracurricular, athletic, and after‑school activities.
Collaborate with community organizations to support school programs.
Plan and strategize for school improvement initiatives.
