Position Summary:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment. This includes ensuring equipment uptime, safety compliance, and efficient operation of production machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, motors, PLCs, and control panels
Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, meters, and diagnostic tools
Repair or replace faulty wiring, components, and equipment
Maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
Support production by minimizing downtime and responding quickly to equipment failures
Install and upgrade electrical systems and machinery
Follow OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures
Document maintenance work, repairs, and inspections
Collaborate with mechanical maintenance and production teams
Qualifications
Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience (manufacturing preferred)
Strong knowledge of electrical systems (480V, 3-phase, controls)
Experience with PLC troubleshooting
Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
Experience in stamping, metal fabrication, or heavy manufacturing
Familiarity with robotics or automated systems
Welding or mechanical skills (a plus)
