Position Summary
Responsible for complex, detailed support. Will handle technical, medical and clinical aspects. Will plan, organize and schedule activities for two physicians. Will be responsible for complex, detailed support for the neurosurgery to include clinical and administrative scheduling: organize and schedule clinical, non-clinical, and research activities. This includes patient care planning from appointments, testing, scheduling surgeries, and follow-up care. It also includes scheduling meetings, research, lectures, social events, vacations, and other calendar items. Organize daily activities and resolve scheduling details and conflicts. Track activities, keep various data bases, and maintain records.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
High School education or equivalent
4 years general administrative support experience
No required license
Microsoft Excel
Electronic Health Records
Ability to be organized and flexible in response to changing demands, often handling a high volume of work under time constraints (E)
Excellent customer service abilities, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, as well as to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, department administrative staff, interdepartmental contacts and patients (E)
Ability to handle sensitive information relating to personnel records, laboratory results, etc. and keep information confidential (E)
Organized, detail oriented, communicates clearly and can confidentially juggle multiple priorities—from in-person interactions to phone calls and complex scheduling (E)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; customer service orientation; outgoing, engaging; energetic; courteous, pleasant, personable (E)

Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent
