
Middle School Teacher (Math, Science)

Harding Fine Arts Academy is seeking a dynamic Middle School Math & Science Teacher who is committed to high-quality instruction and understands the importance of arts integration in the classroom. This educator will deliver rigorous, standards-based math and science instruction while intentionally incorporating creative and artistic approaches aligned with the Oklahoma A+ (OKA+) Schools Network 8 Essentials to deepen student engagement and learning.
Qualifications
Valid Oklahoma teaching certification in Math and/or Science (Middle Level preferred)
Strong understanding of content standards and instructional best practices
Knowledge of or willingness to implement arts integration strategies
Commitment to collaborative teaching and continuous improvement
Experience with data-driven instruction and differentiation
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
Deliver engaging, standards-based math and science lessons aligned to Oklahoma Academic Standards
Incorporate arts integration strategies to enhance student understanding and creativity
Design lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
Arts Integration (OKA+ 8 Essentials Focus)
Integrate the arts intentionally into math and science instruction to support deeper learning
Utilize multiple learning pathways to engage all students
Foster collaboration, creativity, and reflection in daily instruction
Align classroom practices with the OKA+ 8 Essentials, including experiential learning and enriched assessment
Data & Student Growth
Use formative and summative data to drive instruction and interventions
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to ensure growth
Support Tier 1 instruction while collaborating on Tier 2 interventions as needed
Collaboration & Culture
Work collaboratively with colleagues, including fine arts staff, to design interdisciplinary learning experiences
Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs)
Contribute to a positive school culture that values creativity, rigor, and student success
Professional Expectations
Engage in ongoing professional development, including OKA+ training and arts integration practices
Maintain clear communication with students, families, and staff
Support school-wide initiatives and events
Core Skills
Strong instructional and classroom management skills
Ability to integrate creativity into core content
Data-driven decision making

Preferred Experience
Experience with arts integration or project-based learning
Familiarity with OKA+ Schools Network or similar frameworks
