Position Overview
We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) with strong postpartum experience. This role requires flexibility to float between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units while providing high-quality, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including interpreting fetal heart rate tracings
Assist physicians and midwives during labor and delivery procedures
Educate patients and families on childbirth, recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
Deliver postpartum care, including assessments of mother and infant, pain management, and discharge planning
Float to postpartum unit as needed based on staffing and patient care needs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona (or compact state)
Minimum of 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
Required:
Postpartum experience and willingness to float
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Night shift: 18:00 – 06:30
Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and teamwork
