Operations Admin- Water Utility- OnSite

Yoh has an immediate, 6‑month contract, possible extension opportunity as an Operations Admin within the Utilities industry to work at a client site, onsite, reporting to their office in Short Hills, NJ.
$25/hr max hourly rate
40 hours a week, Monday–Friday, 8 AM‑4:30 PM
You must have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills & lookup functions (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), to create pivot tables, and maintain accurate operational reports.
What You Will Be Doing

Strong customer service skills - interacting with customers and municipal officers usually under less than ideal circumstances.
Strong written & verbal communication.
Maintain and update project tracking tools, including Excel spreadsheets, with high attention to detail.
Communicate with customers via phone, email, and in person regarding service line investigations.
Support cross‑functional teams with documentation and project tracking.
Who You Are

HS Diploma or GED required.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence, scheduling, and follow‑ups.
You must have intermediate Microsoft Excel skills & lookup functions (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP), to create pivot tables, and maintain accurate operational reports.
Ability to manage inbox communications and respond to customer and internal inquiries in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to interact with customers in a courteous, patient, and professional manner.
Experience handling questions, concerns, or requests while maintaining a positive customer experience.
Strong attention to detail when researching, updating, and validating service records.
Ability to maintain organized records and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
Experience within Operations Support, Utilities, Public Works or related field will be looked at before all others.
