Position Overview
Compliance Support Analyst (Analyst II) reports to the Compliance Manager in the Security/Law Enforcement Division of the California State Lottery. The analyst assists with complex, consultative, and analytical projects, monitors gaming security regulations and compliance policies, and ensures proper oversight and program administration.

Salary and Employment
Salary: $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per month.

Type: Permanent, Full Time

Telework: Hybrid (remote or office-based)

Work Location: Sacramento, California (must be able to report to headquarters as needed)

Working Conditions

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Travel: N/A.

Other: Incumbent may work odd and irregular hours, as well as varying shifts.

Responsibilities

Assist in complex consultative and analytical projects within the Compliance Section.

Monitor gaming security regulations, compliance policy, and program administration.

Provide oversight and support for compliance initiatives.

Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulations.

Minimum Requirements
• Current Analyst II examination is required. Candidates must hold a valid Exam II qualification.

• Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications described in the Classification Specification (see Job Announcement Posting).

Desirable Qualifications

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Ability to work in a team-centered environment.

Experience with data mining and problem solving in written and verbal communication.

High degree of independence, initiative, and flexibility.

Ability to perform under pressure while focusing on mission-critical deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Confidentiality, discretion, and tact in handling sensitive issues.
