Salary: $6,031.00 – $7,547.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range if applicable.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst II performs responsible, varied, and complex technical analytical staff services assignments. The incumbent serves as Project Coordinator for projects supporting enrichment and engagement efforts (Engagement Program, Mentoring Program, Recognition Program, Wellness Program, EAP Newsletter, Workforce and Succession Program). Responsibilities include independent development and preparation of written reports, review and analysis of programs, research complex laws, rules, and regulations, and preparation of presentations as requested by management. The Analyst II interacts with all levels of CDTFA management and team members, leads projects with department-wide impact, and provides guidance and oversight.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications as described in the Classification Specification.

Eligibility for SROA/Surplus candidates is a priority; other eligible individuals may be considered.

Working Conditions

Standard office environment; may be located in a high‑rise building.

Partial telework available per Government Code 14200.

Requires prolonged sitting in a stationary position.

Daily use of personal computer, office equipment, and telephone.

Travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight stays.
