What you will do
Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an

Electrical Engineering Internship

located in

New Freedom, PA . This internship is designed to provide a hands‑on learning experience with meaningful technical contributions. You will work closely with experienced electrical engineers while gaining exposure to real‑world product development, testing, and engineering processes.

How you will do it

Support lead electrical engineers with tasks such as:

Component and part qualification

Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) design

Test box design, build, and validation

Engineering analysis and system testing

Proof‑of‑concept and final system testing support

Perform routine engineering tasks under close supervision using established standards, procedures, and work instructions

Assist in the development and documentation of:

Standard operating procedures

Design standardization efforts

Engineering change notices (ECNs)

Apply predetermined methods, sequences, and setups to complete assigned job duties accurately and efficiently

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams as needed

Complete additional responsibilities and learning opportunities as assigned

What we look for
Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled full‑time in a four‑year accredited college or university

Broad technical foundation in:

Electrical engineering

Mechanical design principles

Control systems development

Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑based environment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Self‑motivated with the ability to work productively with minimal supervision

Authorized to work in the United States full‑time without restriction during the internship

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work independently

Strong written and verbal communication skills

HIRING HOURLY RANGE:

$20.00 – $24.00/hour

(Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package.
