
Licensed Practical Nurse- Plasma Center ($5k Sign on Bonus!)

Responsibilities
Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis.
Evaluate donor reactions that occur at the facility, following SOPs for medical emergencies and coordinating the development of center physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
Refer to the center physician or medical affairs when needing to provide unacceptable findings to donors or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, referring to EHS guidance for employee incidents.
Act as a pandemic coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.
Current CPR and AED certification.
Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
