Job Details

Position type: permanent. Location requirements: admitted in the DC and Maryland bars. The role offers competitive compensation and benefits, including profit sharing and a 401(k) plan. Salary: $200,000 – $220,000 per year.
Responsibilities

Represent clients in all stages of employment litigation, including pre-litigation, discovery, motions, trials, and appeals.
Draft and respond to discovery requests.
Draft and argue motions.
Defend and take depositions; manage discovery and prepare cases for trial.
Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
Provide advice and counsel to clients regarding state and federal employment laws.
Keep up to date with developments in employment law and advise clients accordingly.
Collaborate with other attorneys in the firm to ensure the best representation for clients.
Qualifications

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
Admission to the DC and Maryland bars.
3–6 years of experience in civil litigation with a focus on employment law.
Proven experience as a case handling attorney in federal court.
Extensive experience in drafting/responding to discovery, drafting and arguing motions, defending depositions, and managing discovery.
Experience in taking depositions, arguing motions, and participating in mediations.
Strong understanding of state and federal employment laws.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage a large caseload and work independently.
Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
