
CNC Machinist (26 To 30 An Hour)

CNC Machinist
As a CNC Machinist, you will receive a work sheet each shift containing a program code. Your primary task will be to load the correct program into the CNC machine, which will guide you through the setup process involving tools, jaws, vices, and locks. You'll handle small lot sizes, typically between 1 to 10 pieces, and work primarily with cast iron and long metal tubing. After setting up the machine, you'll load parts and ensure proper operation by adjusting speeds and feeds if necessary. You will also perform proofing and quality checks on all parts using provided micrometres, calipers, and gauges.
Responsibilities:
Load correct program into CNC machine and follow setup instructions.
Run necessary parts with small lot sizes ranging from 1 to 10.
Perform quality checks and proofing using micrometres, calipers, and gauges.
Adjust machine speeds and feeds as necessary.
Conduct tool changes, offsets, and part loading.
Edit G&M codes for speeds and feeds.
Essential Skills:
Experience with CNC setup on Okuma lathes and mills with Fanuc controls.
Proficiency in G&M code editing, tool changes, offsets, and part loading.
Ability to read blueprints and perform inspections using calipers and micrometres.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with steel tubing and cast iron blocks.
Ability to maintain tolerances down to 5 tenths of a thou.

Pay and Benefits:
