Assembler II

The Assembler II builds mechanical assemblies and wire harnesses using hand and power tools while following blueprints and work instructions. This role focuses on accurately assembling components, handling moderately heavy units, and contributing to reliable, high-quality finished products.
Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to blueprints, diagrams, and written work instructions.
Build and route wire harnesses with attention to correct connections, labeling, and cable management.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to perform assembly tasks.
Inspect parts and assemblies during and after assembly to ensure they meet quality and specification requirements.
Handle and move units weighing up to 5060 lbs, including assemblies as large as a small refrigerator, using proper lifting techniques.
Identify and report any defects, discrepancies, or issues with parts, tools, or documentation.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating tools and performing assembly work.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Complete required documentation and records related to assembly work as needed.
Essential Skills

Minimum of 3 years of assembly experience in a mechanical or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency using hand tools for mechanical assembly tasks.
Experience using power tools safely and effectively in an assembly setting.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.
Experience with wire harnessing and basic electrical or cable routing tasks.
Capability to lift and maneuver units weighing 5060 lbs using safe lifting techniques.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Reliable work habits and ability to meet production schedules.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience working as a Mechanical Assembler or in a similar role.
Soldering experience is a plus.
Comfort working with larger assemblies comparable in size to a small refrigerator.
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.

Work Environment

Dress is appropriate for a manufacturing setting, including suitable workwear and any required personal protective equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Costa Mesa, CA.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
