Substation Project Manager – Oakbrook, IL

Manage end-to-end delivery of substation projects from start to finish.

Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.

Coordinate internal engineering teams, external consultants, contractors, and utility partners.

Lead project meetings, track progress, and ensure alignment with technical and regulatory requirements.

Review and approve substation design packages, including one-lines, protection & control, grounding, physical layout, and equipment specifications.

Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.

Monitor schedule performance and implement corrective actions when needed.

Prepare and deliver project status reports, technical documentation, and presentations.

Ensure timely resolution of technical issues, permitting challenges, and construction obstacles.

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.

5+ years of experience in substation engineering, construction, or project management.

Strong understanding of high-voltage substation equipment, protection systems, and utility standards.

Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex technical projects.

Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Pay Range $110,000-125,000/year
