Physical Therapist with a geriatrics focus is sought for a travel assignment in Knightdale, NC. Start date: May 4, 2026. Responsibilities
Conduct initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations; develop and update individualized plans of care.
Implement interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and activities of daily living (ADL) training.
Monitor progress, document in the electronic health record, and adjust the plan of care as patient needs evolve.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, physicians, occupational therapy, speech‑language pathology) to coordinate care and discharge planning.
Educate residents and families on home exercise programs, safety, fall prevention, and activity modifications; provide clear documentation of education given.
Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control practices, and privacy regulations; maintain professional communication with the care team.
Requirements
Active Physical Therapist license in North Carolina or eligible for NC licensure
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
Experience in geriatric rehabilitation or skilled nursing settings preferred
Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
CPR/BLS certification preferred or current
Eligible to work in the United States and participate in a 13‑week travel assignment starting May 4, 2026
