Fusion Medical Staffing-Cardio is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Bradenton, Florida. Start ASAP. 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. Travel assignment.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans.
Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders.
Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples.
Provide treatment through chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, and other approaches.
Set up and monitor equipment to ensure appropriate oxygen delivery.
Observe and record patient status and progress.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient care.
Educate patients and/or family on medication and equipment use.
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice.
Qualifications
Required:
One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.
Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association/ARC).
Preferred:
ACLS or PALS Certification (AHA/ARC).
Additional certifications and licenses may be required.
Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication.
English language reading, writing, and verbal communication.
PC skills.
Physical stamina to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend.
Interpersonal skills to work with diverse personnel.
Technical handling of equipment.
Ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, manage irregular schedules, maintain concentration.
Visual acuity and effective communication.
